I grew up in Kaimuki, swimming competitively and eventually bodyboarding competitively. I was a former Cross Country Scholar Athlete College and after college, eventually competed with the best as a professional bodyboarder. The water has always been a place I found comfort and escape.

Photography is something I always loved. In High School, I studied under an elderly woman named Thelma Gregg who at the time was 92 years old. She was the head of the Hawaiian Trail and Mountain club and lead and photographed hikes all over Hawai’i. I regret not diving more into Photography back then. But I’m grateful I was exposed to the darkroom and the process of film.

A few years ago my husband who is also a former professional photographer and bodyboarder, encouraged me to use his photo equipment in the surf and I haven’t put it down since.

I’ve always loved being in the action and just love helping people showcase their talents.
